I recently discovered that, while the children don't like to walk anywhere, and find it difficult, they are both quite happy to run the two thirds of a mile to the library.

L runs for preference. Or, currently, plays stop/go (I think this may be a reaction to us wanting him to stop at kerbs; I play with him in the hope that me stopping when *he* says will make him more likely to stop when *I* say). Interesting to know that it's not just him!
