Today has been half usefull, half vegging. I made bread (fruit and seeds) and took Deta for a long walk. Certain people will (at last!) be soon recieving presents, and I have ordered more cross stitch for Benedict. Parts of the house are more tidy, and my Norwegian is slightly improved. In fact, I spent much of the morning chanting number bonds to ten in Norwegian, to fix the numbers in my head
(Null og ti er ti, en og ni er ti, to og åtta er ti, &c). (Funnily enough, I typed 'usw.' rather than '&c' and then figured that if I wasn't going to use the Norwegian, which I don't know, I should use the Latin, which you will recognise, rather than the German, which you might not, but which came to my fingers more readily. Weird.) Also days of the week learnt (monday-friday easy, because they're the same literally as in English. Máni's day, Tyr's day, Odin's day, Thor's day and Freya's day. Saturday is called, literally, 'bath day' in Norwegian, because that's the day those pesky Vikings took their baths (for those who aren't aware, one of the problems with Vikings was that they were more attractive to women than other men, because they were cleaner. Cleaner = sexier, at least in mediæval times)).
For the walk, we crossed the green, and then wondered around the streets, eventually returning around it to arrive back on the green at about the same place as the poo bin (more by design than luck). We'd not done that before, usually either just walking around the rec or turning off on our side of it. It was good, a nice cool breeze in the air.
The rest of the day, I played computer games or read or did trivial things. Now, I really should cook because it's getting late.
I leave you with a sheep thing about what time of day I may or may not be.
