I'm curious about trick-or-treating. I don't mind giving sweets to other people's children if they come round (we got two this year, when I hadn't prepared, and none the year I did prepare). However, I would never let my own children go because it seems like begging for sweets. (Not that it's an issue at the moment, as Bene't hates Hallowe'en)

Now, I'm pretty certain that most parents who do let their children go don't think like that. So, if you are a parent who lets your child trick-or-treat, how do you think of it?
