julietk posted sopmething mentioning 3 bands: Mogwai, Tortoise and Shellac. the latter two I have never heard of, which kind of prompted me to pull the Mogwai off the shelf and actually listen to it.

two tracks in, this seems slow, and not terribly exciting, but entirely listenable. Would it, therefore, be the act of a wise ghoti to investigate the other bands?
